Looking forward to it! See you Saturday.

As usual, I'd be glad to have Charlottesville area paddlers share the ride. You can contact me at RangeRon78 [at] embarqmail [dot] com or nine 6 zero-six 6 six 5 (mobile) or nine 7 nine-6 four 5 seven (home).

It's been 8 months since I ruptured the tendon in my finger and 3 weeks since all the pins have been out. Now, I'm ready to try and hold that old kayak paddle. See you on Saturday at the put in.

Since my usual paddling crew is heading to the Cheat this weekend and I can't stand to be away from my new son for a whole day, I'm thinking Balcony this Saturday might fit the bill. I'll post a firm "in" or "out" on Friday evening.

Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke

According to the forum for the Cheat OCT this Saturday, it is cancelled. (I sure am glad I didn't decide to change my plans and sign up for that trip, however tempting it was!) Anyway, anyone disappointed by that cancellation would be welcome to join us, I suppose. (I'm not coordinating this trip so it may not be my place to say. )

I'm sorry Dave Lewis can't join us. Dave, I look forward to paddling with another IK'er soon!

Since I'm trying to stay close to home and my crew is no longer headed to the Cheat, I'm going to hit the Lower James with them on Saturday. I'll be looking to hit Balcony later this year - hopefully with a little more water.

Hope you all have fun!

SYOTR,
Brandon

Count me in. Hopefully Sunday, too. Have camping arrangements been set yet? It is close enough to sleep at home, but with the cost of gas, the extra 60 miles to home and back will keep me in peanut butter sandwiches for a week.

We can decide for sure on Saturday but I think camping is going to be at my house Saturday night......cold fridge, air conditioning, hot showers, air conditioning.
