My inept reading of the Web App river gage leads me to believe that the water volume is twice that of my enjoyable previous App experience. Also other considerations indicate that it is best to hope for another time.

The App on Tuesday sounds good for me. The challenge is to be off the river before 3:30, or better yet by 3:00, since I have agreed to go to a lecture with my wife in the very early evening. What river??? The App has appeal. I enjoyed it in early Spring when it was at five feet. What are the levels?

If the Rivana, local for me, is at a good level it could be good. I can get to the Rt.600 bridge for a reading of the level there.

If this trip is still on I am interested. The App Saturday sounds good for me: I was on it a couple years ago. I do not, however, remember how to get to the takeout. I would be coming from the Charlottesville area to Richmond and then south to the App but I don't know the directions to the take-out....
