The USGS water levels for the James at Scottsville has gone from Sundays reading of 880 cfs to todays reading of 520 cfs. What? Ted and Caroline will do their usual pattern of dropping boats at the put in at 9:45. Ted will stay to watch the boats and Caroline drives to the take out by 10:30.

The pulse from Gathright dam did not go today. No bump Saturday.
Current level up stream is 2200 cfs which I predict will be the level at Scottsville Saturday and is plenty of water.

For those of you who paddled Saturday Aug 31 during the pulse release impact on the Seven Islands section of the James at low water, your 11 am launch was at 3.0 ft and at 3 pm it was 3.4 ft a river rise of 5 inches.
