I'm planning to be in Ohiopyle to paddle the Lower Yough on Saturday, July 30th. I have passes for a noon put in and only a couple of maybes from other paddlers so far. If anybody would like to join, post or PM.

There is a log across the left side of the bottom of the drop at Jug Handle on the Appomattox. Talking to friends that ran it a month ago... it was there then, and looks like it isn't going anywhere for a while. Approaching the horizon line, you can see that there is wood in the rapid at the bottom ...

A couple of us are going to run the Upper James Friday afternoon at 2 pm. The upper section is maybe class 2+ at this level, so not sure if it's worth a drive from Williamsburg for you, but you'd be welcome to join us if so. Post or PM if you're interested.
