Tempted. Will depend on productivity this week and some personal concerns. For the record, I am never eating at Gleesons again.

Hey what level was that through Cucumber? My Lower Yough trip was cut short last year...I miss that river.

LJ Wed after work?

Hey, I'm interested in the LJ run Wednesday evening. Projected is 4.3'. Meet at 14th at 5:30? I will have a boater with me who hasn't paddled for a long time but cleanly ran the LJ last year at 3.5'. It would be nice to have a couple more boats out there in case there are combat roll attempts, so pl...

PP is park and play, but level dependent. LJ at summertime flow is rocky, but we we still do it.

Others will post with more experience than me, but my advice is to bring your gear!

There were definitely a lot of trees recently knocked down around the campground and river, and some into it. The ones in the river didn't cross the whole width, although there was one slightly tight spot. It was in class II riffles I recall. The downed trees are fresh still, and as they break up th...

Cranberry was low, but we only had to sneak one of the rapids below S-Turn because the low water made the tight turn/drop/runout too dicey. It was a bit bumpy through the class II stretches. I ran the whole section cleanly on Sunday at 3.6'. Saturday, when we ran only to above S-turn at 3.8', was a ...

Thanks for the info. Sounds like fun.

I'd like to bring both boats for 2-3 laps if the levels come up some point in June...and conveniently enough, I'll have a flexible schedule. I'll be doing my rain dance.

questions for a personal first descent of Goshen Pass

Hey y'all, On the drive back from WV (Cranberry) on Sunday, I passed the Maury and got to thinking about how I should run Goshen Pass while I still have a chance. A couple of questions, given that I've read up a bit on the section already: 1. Does it regularly have recommended levels in June or July...

Looks like there is a doozy of a "thunderboomer" (good one, Nutter) bearing down on Richmond right now. http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=AKQ&product=N0Z&overlay=11101111&loop=yes Based on previous experience, I expect that the weather will hit and pass through before the ...

Agreed. That was awesome. Long surfs at 10 boat, easy eddy service (a little harder to get back on at higher levels). Two boats fit on a wave at the top of the rapids at river right, but it had to be caught on the fly. The wave lower down with a very nice eddy was fast at this level and just a littl...

I'd be interested in finding some play. I don't think I want to run the LJ. The highest I've done it was 8' (with no problem, but still..).

Is there anything on the Upper at this level or has it dropped too far?

What''s going on with the prediction? The bubble is a day early and the prediction line is gone. Any expert gauge readers have a sense of what he level will be like on Wednesday afternoon based on upstream flows?
